A clean and consistent history is essential.

Next, analyze the backlink profile. Look for links from real, relevant websites with natural anchor text. Avoid domains that have a large number of low-quality backlinks, link farm connections, or over-optimized exact match anchors. Quality backlinks from authoritative and niche-related sites are far more valuable than sheer quantity.

It is also important to check whether the domain is indexed by Google. Search using “site:domain.com” to confirm it appears in search results. If it is deindexed or experienced a major traffic drop in the past, it may have been penalized, which makes it risky.
